HOW TO COLLECT A BLOOD SAMPLE AT HOME
Collecting your blood sample is easy - we provide everything you need. Then just post the sample using the enclosed pre-paid envelope. After one of our partner labs processes it, you can see the results online.
- Take your blood sample between Monday and Thursday inclusive, in time to post it back the same day.
- In the hours before the test, ensure you’re well hydrated - and drink another glass of water 30 minutes beforehand.
- To ensure a good blood flow to the fingers, warm up your hands before taking the sample.
- Squeeze your finger gently - not too hard.
- Fill the sample tube to the line.
- Keep the sample away from direct sunlight, as that can cause chemical changes.
- Package the sample as shown in the instructions.
- Post your sample back on the same day as collection, between Monday and Thursday inclusive.
